Banana Macadamia Cookies
(Based on recipe in 1997 SF
Chronicle Cookbook)
Servings: 3 Dozen
Preparation Time: 1/2 hour
Ingredients
1 1/2 C sugar
1 C softened butter
2 eggs
2 mashed bananas
3 1/4 C all purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
2 t cream of tartar
1 c chopped macademia nuts
1/2 cup vanilla chips or white chocolate chips
1/2 C sugar mixed w/ 1/2 t ground nutmeg
Preparation
cream sugar and butter. mix in the eggs, then stir in the
bananas.
combine dry ingredients (except sugar/nutmeg mix). add to
creamed mixture, stirring until just mixed. chill.
use about 1T of dough per cookie, sprinkle top of cookies with
sugar/nutmeg mixture (or press w/fork, like peanut butter cookies) and bake about 8
minutes in a 350 degree oven.
